The government will not acknowledge the term 'AI'
The president vows to ban the old term, and the order that renames the field defines the new one as the same thing.

On Oct 27 the president posted that he will soon be "officially BANNING the term" for AI. That follows the Super Intelligence executive order of Sept 29 (linked below), which says the executive branch "will not acknowledge the usage of 'Artificial Intelligence' and 'AI'".
Even a podcast friendly to the administration dropped the new term. Semafor's transcript count of All-In has the hosts saying "SI" (Super Intelligence) 23 times and "AI" 31 on Oct 2, then "SI" zero and "AI" 29 on Oct 23.
The order defines Super Intelligence as "the technologies and systems encompassed by the term 'artificial intelligence'" as federal law defines it. The definition itself uses the banned words.
